2009 Auto Show Wraps on Another Great Year

The 2009 Saint Louis Auto Show wrapped on Sunday, February 1st. Many thousands of attendees came by and took part in the exciting features this year had to offer, including several exciting giveaways. The Saint Louis Auto Dealers Association would like to congratulate Lyle Winter from Greenville, IL on winning the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 giveaway. His name was randomly selected from thousands of entries, and the truck was presented to him by the Missouri and Illinois Dodge Dealer Advertising Association on February 17th.

The show hosted more than 25 auto manufacturers, who collectively brought over 600 new cars, trucks, SUVs, crossover vehicles and concept cars to display. This year featured lots of entertainment, including Justin Martin from High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Sabra Johnson from So You Think You Can Dance, the Toyota Behind the Wheel Adventure, actress and Lincoln Mercury spokesperson Jill Wagner, three St. Louis Blues players and even Segway rides from the St. Louis Science Center. In addition to entertainment, there were several educational exhibits as well, including science demonstrations and hands-on activities from the St. Louis Science Center and child safety education from Operation KidSafe.

The 2009 Auto Show also featured several exciting giveaways. Of course, there was the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 giveaway, but there were also several other enticing prizes up for grabs. Two lucky attendees won trips for two to the luxurious Occidental Grand Xcaret resort in the exotic Riviera Maya. Each all-inclusive trip is valued at $2,500. One winner was randomly selected from the thousands of entries at the show, while the other was randomly chosen from the online entries. Our Auto Show winner was Doug Bertrand from Glen Carbon, IL. Our online winner was Duane Wesche from St. Louis, MO. Congratulations to these two lucky winners, and many thanks to Apple Vacations and KHITS 96. Autotrader.com also partnered with us to bring attendees and website visitors the chance to win $50,000.
