Auto Plaza Ford is proud to announce the 2008 Mustang Rally to be held on Saturday, July 26th. The annual event is put on through STL Mustang and will be held at the Auto Plaza Ford location at 7501 Manchester Road in Maplewood.
This year's event promises to be hotter than ever, with free gifts, food and drinks and a Mustang show with prizes for first place. This year also features free dyno runs. If you’re not a gear head, a dyno run is a method for measuring a car's horsepower by placing the vehicle on a ramp that allows the car to run in place as a dynometer measures the power output. It’s basically an oversized treadmill for cars. Whether or not you own a Mustang, this year's rally is an event you don't want to miss.
Auto Plaza Ford opened at the end of 2005 as the only first-generation Ford store in the area, and has quickly become one of St. Louis's premier Ford dealerships. Sales have increased more than 300% and the staff has seen the addition of 30 new members, which includes 15 new union jobs. In 2006, the company opened the old Service building glass showroom at the northwest corner of Big Bend and Manchester.
The service department is extremely customer service and community oriented. In addition to the annual Mustang Rally, Auto Plaza Ford sponsors several local events within Maplewood and in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce. The company also hires local students from the co-op program at Maplewood High School as part of its community outreach efforts.
Auto Plaza Ford is a member of the Missouri Auto Dealers Association, the National Auto Dealers Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
