Mungenast Takes Pride in Serving the Community

The Mungenast family of dealerships was founded by Dave Mungenast, a former service mechanic, in 1965 as a Honda motorcycle dealership. Since then, the Mungenast name has extended to many other quality automotive brands, including Honda, Acura, Lexus, Dodge, Toyota, Scion and Hyundai. One of the most recent expansions was the 2007 opening of Dave Mungenast North County Hyundai at 8917 Dunn Road in Hazelwood. After a $600,000 renovation to an existing facility, an experienced 30-member staff of automotive pros was ready to serve North County. The other recent addition to the Mungenast lineup was the 2007 opening of Dave Mungenast Alton Dodge/Toyota/Scion at 850 Homer Adams Parkway in Alton, IL. This is a state-of-the-art dealership and has earned Toyota's coveted President's Award, which is awarded for overall operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Amenities include big screen TVs, a wi-fi computer bar, a full-service "Broadway" car wash and a climate-controlled shop environment.

As part of the family's community focus in North County, Kurt Mungenast is very involved with the Child Center Marygrove and DePaul Health Center Foundation.
