
General Manager
The General Manager is completely responsible for and will be held accountable for the successful operation of the entire dealership. She/he will develop and execute plans to ensure the dealership of a reasonable profit and the stockholders of a fair return on their investments. The General manger will accomplish all objectives through planning, motivating, and coordinating the activities of all departments.
Business Manager
The Office Manager assists in the fair representation of the financial condition of the company, implements controls to ensure compliance, and competes the activities necessary to accomplish these goals.
Comptroller/Business Manager
The Comptroller provides sales and expense analyses for all departments. She/he must fairly represent the financial condition of the dealership, develop controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintain accurate records, and establish and maintain the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives.
Customer Relations Manager
The Customer Relations Manager is the dealership's goodwill ambassador. She/he fulfills the dealership's customer relations policies in an effort to build and retain a loyal customer base. Working with department managers, the Customer Relations Manager develops and administers the dealership's customer relations program. She/he recommends any revisions in the customer relations policy to the Dealer. This position involves three primary areas of responsibility: sales and delivery, service, and reporting.
Secretary
The Secretary properly represents the dealership to its customers and vendors by providing high-quality telephone and secretarial services.
Cashier
The Cashier receives cash from customers and employees in payment for goods and services and records the amount received in an accurate manner. She/he is sometimes the customer's last contact with the dealership and therefore must represent the dealership in a friendly, professional manner.
Switchboard/Telephone Operator
The Switchboard Operator intercepts and routes incoming calls, takes thorough messages, and provides basic information to callers. She/he is the dealership's front-line contact with the public and must represent the dealership in a professional, friendly manner at all times.
Title/Billing Clerk for Vehicle Sales
The Title/Billing Clerk for Vehicle Sales processes car deals. She/he verifies costs, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the DMV.
