Service Manager

The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department. She/he will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records.

Shop Foreman/Dispatcher

The Shop Foreman/Dispatcher plans, organizes, leads and controls the flow of service work through the service department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer.

Service Advisor

The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers.

General Service Technician

The General Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. She/he will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Industrial Truck Technician

The Industrial Truck Technician repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications, using hand tools and power tools.

Air-Conditioning Technician

The Air-Conditioning Technician installs and repairs automotive air-conditioning units within dealership and factory quality and efficiency guidelines.

Automotive Electrician

The Automotive Electrician repairs and overhauls electrical systems in automobiles within dealership and factory quality and efficiency guidelines.

Brake Repairer

The Brake Repairer repairs and overhauls brake systems in automobiles with dealership and factory quality and efficiency guidelines.

Front-End Technician

The Front-End Technician aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automobiles within dealership and factory quality and efficiency guidelines.

Transmission Technician

The Transmission Technician repairs manual and automatic transmissions in automobiles within dealership and factory quality and efficiency standards.

Tune-Up Technician

The Tune-Up Technician tunes automotive vehicle engines to ensure efficient operation, working within dealership and factory quality and efficiency standards.

Automobile Detailer

The Automobile Detailer cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles.

Used-Vehicle Renovator

The Used-Vehicle Renovator renovates used vehicles for resale in accordance with the dealership's quality standards and time and cost limitations.

New-Vehicle Get-Ready Technician

The New-Vehicle Get-Ready Technician inspects and services new vehicles when they are delivered to the dealer and makes minor repairs or adjustments to place the vehicles in salable condition, using hand tools, portable power tools, and specification sheets. She/he will also deliver vehicles to customers.

Lubrication Servicer

The Lubrication Servicer lubricates moving parts of automobiles.

Lot Attendant

The Lot Attendant verifies receipt of new vehicles delivered to the dealership and parts vehicles in the new-vehicle lot in an orderly manner.

Warranty Clerk

The Warranty Clerk prepares, records, and reconciles warranty claims and submits them to the factory and distributors for defective parts.

Shop Custodian

The Shop Custodian maintains a safe, clean working environment for all dealership employees and customers.
